Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead our efforts in sharing these stories and building our brands. This role is pivotal in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, engage the trade, private, corporate audience, and support our sales team. You will lead key marketing initiatives while working closely with leadership, taking on significant responsibilities in brand management and customer engagement within B2B, and beyond B2C in the wine and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead marketing campaigns for our wine portfolio across multiple price points and regions.
- Drive new product launches from strategy to execution, ensuring market impact.
- Develop compelling product stories and tasting notes for trade and consumer audiences.
- Identify and coordinate co‑marketing opportunities and partnerships with wineries.
- Act as a key company liaison with media, influencers, and public relations agencies to secure press coverage and build brand credibility.
- Serve as a primary link with our winery partners, providing marketing updates and coordinating collaborative efforts.
- Plan and execute a full calendar of events, including trade tastings, winemaker dinners and consumer activations.
- Create comprehensive sales materials, price lists, pitch decks and product sheets for our sales team.
- Build and manage relationships with sommelier communities and wine influencers.
- Develop and execute B2C digital marketing strategy to acquire, engage and retain customers.
- Manage all e‑commerce operations, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns.
- Design and execute email campaigns for B2B and B2C partners.
- Utilise SEO/SEM and digital advertising to drive online traffic and conversion.
- Manage website content including wine descriptions and seasonal promotions.
- Coordinate with photographers and designers for product and lifestyle imagery.
- Track campaign performance and analyse sales impact across portfolio.
- Monitor brand awareness and market positioning against competitors.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports on marketing activities and ROI.
- Use data insights to optimise pricing and promotional strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 3‑4 years of marketing experience, with at least 1 year in an assistant manager or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or consumer goods marketing.
- Proven track record of managing marketing projects and campaigns end‑to‑end.
- Experience with trade marketing (B2B), and B2C relationships preferred.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, or beverage industry strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling wine stories and trade presentations.
- Proven expertise in developing and executing integrated B2B and B2C marketing strategies.
- Strong hands‑on experience with digital marketing including SEO/SEM, social media advertising, CRM systems and analytic tools (Google Analytics, Mailchimp, etc).
- Leadership potential and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Budget management experience and understanding of marketing ROI.
- Willingness to work some evenings/weekends for events and tastings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Previous experience in alcohol/beverage industry or hospitality sector.
- Bilingual capabilities (especially if working with international producers).
- Event planning or trade show experience.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms.
