Key accountability (Main purpose of this job):
The Marketing and Communications executive is responsible for promoting the CIS brand to external audiences, and growing CIS's reputation as one of the leading schools in Singapore.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Executive to support event planning and execute a wide range of events, from corporate functions to community gatherings. This role is ideal for someone who is organised and creative. In addition, support the communications of the school with writing, social media and content creation.
Responsibilities (Key areas of Responsibilities):
The Marketing and Communications executive will:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of events (conferences, workshops, networking sessions, school/community events, etc.).
- Support senior organisers with logistics, venue bookings, catering, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
- Manage event registrations, invitations, and guest lists.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and preparing post-event reports.
- Contribute ideas for event concepts, themes, and engagement activities.
- Provide on-site support during events, including setup, guest assistance, and troubleshooting.
- Support marketing efforts by helping with event promotion, social media posts, and collateral preparation.
- Maintain accurate records, contracts, and event documentation.
- Support the marketing manager in overseeing the department's operations.
- Help to plan and manage advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print etc.).
- Write copy for a variety of digital channels, including Google AdWords.
- Organise and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities and enhance the school's presence.
- See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics.
- Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution.
- Evaluate, and report back on, the effectiveness of campaigns, channels and events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Marketing professional, with a focus on digital.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and organised with attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge of social media and web analytics.
- Excellent communication and writing skills with a proven track record of strong written English.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and understanding of a customer journey.
- Strong organisation and project management skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in the international school sector, either as a parent, educator or communications professional, will be beneficial but not essential.
