Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for producing a public relations (PR) plan which promotes and maintains good public relations to uphold the image of the hotel. Duties involve planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in all Public Relations & Marketing activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with General Manager in preparation and management of the department’s annual budget, in line with hotel strategic plan, goals program and reports monthly on financial returns of activities.
- Develop and manage a communications strategy with relevant content to engage the appropriate target audiences to grow brand awareness and generate revenue for the hotel.
- Develop and manage social media content and campaigns to increase fan base and engagement.
- Develops a public relations programme for the hotel based on its marketing goals. Target specific markets and developing the public relations strategies to reach these markets.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with guests, key media partners (online and offline), travel trade and handling all aspects of public relations.
- Develop hotel gifts and giveaways.
- Builds profile within local marketplace through attendance at various events.
- Monitors awareness of competitor activities and use information when developing strategies.
- Plans and coordinates sponsorship activities.
- Prepares guest letters, messages and notices for the management.
- Provides information to other departments on activities within and outside the hotel which may be useful when dealing with guests.
- Responsible for hotel photography and any artwork (collaterals etc), including maintaining a picture library for the Hotel to ensure consistency on Corporate graphic and Branding standards.
- Communicates DHI Marketing and Brand campaigns in a timely manner to support hotel performance and drive revenues.
- Coordinat❚e with departments concerned on clients and media complaints, requests, and inquiries.
- Organise community projects for the Hotel and work with Human Resource department for internal community initiatives for associates.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Hospitality / Hotel Management with at least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Knowledge and application on graphics and relevant software.
- Analytical, meticulous with an eye for details.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written & spoken) skills.
- IT savvy and social media savvy. Able to drive social media and online communities.
- A strong team player who is able to lead high impact cross functional teams
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
