We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Marketing & Business Development candidate to manage external communications, strengthen our brand presence, and build a sustainable pipeline of leads and partnerships. You will play a critical role in ensuring our work is seen, understood, and connected to the right partners, funders, and communities.

Job Role – What You Will Be Doing
  • Marketing & Communications – Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote Skillseed’s initiatives and programme outcomes.
  • Digital Presence – Manage Skillseed’s digital presence (with a focus on LinkedIn, our website, newsletter updates, and occasional use of other socials such as Instagram).
  • Content Creation – Craft compelling content (posts, stories, reports, case studies) that highlight impact and engage stakeholders.
  • Analytics – Track and analyse campaign performance to refine strategies for greater reach, resonance and responses.
Business Development & Partnerships
  • Build, maintain, and cultivate a pipeline of leads with potential funders, partners, and collaborators using digital tools.
  • Research and identify partnership opportunities aligned with Skillseed’s mission and programmes’ objectives.
  • Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Support proposal writing, pitch development, and client-facing materials to secure new opportunities.
CRM & Relationship Management
  • Use CRM systems to track leads, manage follow-ups, and ensure timely communication with prospects.
  • Establish systems to sustain long-term relationships with stakeholders, funders, and community partners.
  • Keep meticulous records of interactions, opportunities, and partnership status.
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure marketing and business development efforts align with Skillseed’s vision.
  • Contribute to reporting and storytelling by translating programmes’ progress and impact into communication pieces for stakeholders and funders.
Job Requirements – What We Are Looking For
  • Professional Experience & Skills – Proven track record (minimum 2 years) in marketing, communications, or business development, ideally in the training industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) and ability to build and maintain a structured pipeline of leads.
  • Strong proficiency with LinkedIn (posting, networking, analytics), email marketing, and experience managing brand presence across digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills — able to craft compelling content tailored to different audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a track record of cultivating and sustaining partnerships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
Mindset & Attributes
  • A self-starter who thrives on initiative, creativity, and ownership of outcomes.
  • Strategic yet hands-on — equally comfortable developing plans and rolling up your sleeves to execute them.
  • Empathetic, relational, and values-driven, with a passion for community impact.
  • Meticulous in managing follow-ups and details, while also energised by the big-picture vision.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in navigating ambiguity and evolving circumstances.
Other Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable with digital tools (Google Workspace, Canva, project management tools).
  • Excellent presentation, writing and networking skills.
  • Availability for occasional evening/weekend events to engage with community activities (time-off will be provided).
Projected Start Date

We are looking for a candidate who is available to start as soon as possible, latest by 1 December 2025.

  • Centrally located – Work venue on WFO days at Waterloo Centre.
  • Meaningful Work – Contribute to a pioneering project that directly impacts residents’ health, well-being, and sense of belonging.
  • Professional Growth – Exposure to cross-sector collaboration with community leaders, subject matter experts, and social impact stakeholders.
