Location: Raffles Place

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Salary: Up to $8,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Market Surveillance Officer to join our team. This role is critical in safeguarding market integrity by monitoring trading activities, detecting potential misconduct, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in derivatives markets and a keen eye for identifying irregular or suspicious trading patterns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily surveillance of derivatives trading activities across relevant markets.
  • Identify potential market misconduct, including market manipulation, insider trading, and other irregular behaviours.
  • Investigate suspicious trading activities and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Escalate significant issues to management and relevant stakeholders promptly.
  • Support regulatory inquiries, audits, and internal reviews related to trading surveillance.
  • Continuously enhance surveillance controls, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in derivatives trading compliance or derivatives trading surveillance.
  • Hands-on experience in detecting potential market misconduct and investigating suspicious trading behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of exchange rules, MAS regulations, and derivatives market structures.
