Job summary

A prominent contracting firm is seeking a Contracts Manager in Singapore to support project teams in managing commercial risks. You will provide crucial guidance and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle, engaging in contract negotiation and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years in contract management within shipping or oil & gas, strong analytical skills, and is fluent in English. This role may require travel to overseas project sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in contract management, ideally in shipping, marine, or offshore oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of project contractual obligations including variations and cost control.
• Experience in managing and mitigating claims.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial advice throughout project lifecycle, monitoring costs and schedules.
• Review contract requirements during tendering to identify risks.
• Support procurement teams to ensure contract compliance and favorable terms.
• Work with Project Managers on milestones and claims management.
• Identify disputes and coordinate with Legal for mitigation strategies.
• Conduct workshops to enhance the team’s understanding of contractual risks.
