Ship Repair Supervisor
  • Location: Penjuru lane (Transport provided at Jurong East)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Salary: $2,700 - $3,800, OT pay
Job Requirements
  • Diploma/Certificate in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Able to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet.
  • Able to work on site, on ship and in workshop.
  • Familiar with safety regulation, permit‑to‑work system.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a repair team to fulfil ship repair jobs afloat or at shipyard.
  • Carry out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment on board of ship, such as diesel engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, turbochargers, etc., assigned by project manager.
  • Troubleshoot all the mechanical equipment on board vessels.
  • Plan and execute the repair job in the most cost‑effective method.
  • Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop.
  • Attend vessels Dry‑dock as assigned by project manager.
  • Carry out any retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels.
  • Train newly joined workers.
  • Follow company’s SOP, keep high safety standard with the team.
  • Any other duties as assigned by project manager, HOD or Management.
