Qualifications

• Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) recognised by MPA Singapore.
• Familiar with ISM, MARPOL, and SOLAS regulations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent to join our Fleet Division. This pivotal role ensures the operational integrity, compliance, and efficiency of our fleet. The ideal candidate will oversee ship regulatory compliance, manage crew matters, ensure safety and quality standards, and optimize voyage performance. Key Responsibilities

1. Ship Compliance and Audit
   • Ensure vessels comply with all relevant maritime regulations and certification.
   • Coordinate and monitor vetting inspections, class audits, SIRE, Flag State Inspections, and other statutory surveys.
2. Crew Management and Training
   • Approve crew assignments, conduct interviews, and oversee onboarding.
   • Identify training needs and ensure structured development programmes are in place.
   • Support onboard mentoring and competency management initiatives.
3. Safety & Quality Assurance
   • Ensure compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and other international standards.
   • Conduct safety inspections, manage incident investigations, and follow up on safety audits.
4. Voyage Safety and Operational Optimisation
   • Monitor navigational safety, pollution prevention, and cargo operations.
   • Support voyage planning and execution to maximise efficiency and cargo utilization.
5. Resource Planning
   • Monitor resource allocation and utilization for optimal operational support.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in a supervisory/managerial role.
3. Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) recognised by MPA Singapore.
4. Familiarity with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, and other maritime regulations.
5. ISM/ISPS or ISO Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
6. Experience working with bulk carriers, tankers, or container vessels preferred.
