Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on assigned product tankers.
• Oversee vessel operations for readiness for voyages.
• Arrange/manage ISM, ISPS, MLC audits/inspections.
• Approve passage plans and conduct navigation audits.
• Ensure compliance with terminal and charterer requirements.
• Liaise with Flag State and Port State authorities.
• Monitor/update the company’s Safety Management System.

Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on assigned product tankers.

Oversee vessel operations to ensure readiness for voyages.

Arrange and manage audits/inspections (ISM, ISPS, MLC) and vetting inspections.

Approve passage plans and conduct navigation audits.

Ensure compliance with terminal, oil majors, and charterers’ requirements.

Liaise with Flag State and Port State authorities.

Keep Q88 and HVPQ up-to-date.

Monitor and update the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).

Provide guidance on vessel operations and crew competency.

Requirements

Experience as a Master (CoC Class 1 or 2) or at least 2 years of shore experience in chemical tankers.
