Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore’s West region seeks an Electrical Engineer specializing in Automation System Design for marine applications. You will design Ship Management System architecture and coordinate integration with third-party systems to ensure seamless operation.

The role includes FAT/STW/HAT coordination, software configuration management, and ensuring SMS operability during vessel life-cycle maintenance, with collaboration across customers, suppliers, and project teams.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
Experience in system architecture design or networking preferred.
Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
Good communication with suppliers and customers at all levels.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Perform system and architecture design of Ship Management System (SMS).
Perform system integration for SMS with third party systems.
Coordinate and support FAT, STW and HAT.
Perform software configuration management and technical documentation.
Perform hardware/software maintenance and troubleshooting.
Liaise with customers, project manager and other engineering trades.
Ensure operationality and functionality of SMS during the maintenance period of the vessel life cycle.
Maintain close working relationships with customer, subcontractors, and suppliers.
