A maritime services company in Singapore is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to manage sourcing for maritime stores and provisions. The successful candidate will negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness while maintaining quality and service. Responsibilities include monitoring supply chains and preparing necessary documentation for ship repairs. Ideal candidates will have experience in sourcing and procurement within the maritime industry.
To source for Maritime Stores & Provisions for assigned vessels, from both local and overseas suppliers, manufacturers & vendors
To source for Maritime Stores & spares for ship repairs from both local and overseas suppliers, manufacturers & vendors
Work closely with vessels and management to monitor and improve the supply chain purchasing process, specifications and requirements
Sourcing/negotiation with various suppliers and subcontractors from company’s vender’s list for pricing/quality/service, to ensure cost competitiveness and service to meet company requirement
Keep update of purchase order into company costing system
Update vender list of suppliers and subcontractors, build up and update direct contact with local and overseas makers
Build up and update data base of company shipyard production consumables, ship store supply and ship spares for quotation and purchase purpose
Prepare documents including delivery order and apply related permits for ship’s repairs at request
Assist in operations arrangement, such as coordination with ship’s agent, superintendent, sub-contractors and our repair team for daily operation if necessary
Assist for quotation of ship store/provision and spare supply
