Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore seeks an Electrical Engineer to support shipyard operations, plan manpower and coordinate subcontractors on marine projects.

The role requires interpreting electrical drawings, ensuring class and regulatory compliance, monitoring progress, and liaising with owners representatives and surveyors. Location at Benoi Road; island-wide transport provided; on-site role focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 3–5 years in marine industry or similar capacity preferred.
• Knowledge of ship’s electrical system, control system and their classification requirements.
• Able to interpret technical/electrical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of class requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and effective utilization of manpower and material resources in the department.
• Assist in Planning of department manpower projections.
• Assess staff work performance under his charge as required.
• Monitor job progress and man hours of the assigned project.
• Liaise with owners representative and/or class surveyor during witness/inspection.
• Raising of Sub-Contractor order form.
• Check and monitor of Sub-contractor deployment.
• Apply for permit to work if any.
