Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) seeks a Test Technician/Test Engineer to support high-tech server and hardware testing in Tampines. The role offers a 4-day work week with a basic salary up to $5,000 plus allowances and shift allowances.

Training lasts 3 months; during this time you will learn Test Process Instructions, assist with production testing, and maintain training records. After training, you will rotate between day and night shifts and contribute to improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate Diploma or higher in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years in testing/manufacturing or 4+ years without the qualification.
• Experience with server, hardware, rack or electronics testing preferred.
• Willing to rotate day and night shifts after training.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Test Process Instructions and train production staff.
• Provide technical guidance on testing procedures and assist with troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain server GI and ensure test database accuracy.
• Configure rack test templates from engineering documentation.
• Support deployment of rack configurations into production test systems.
• Maintain component database records and system configurations.
• Troubleshoot test-related issues and perform basic root cause analysis.
• Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and support continuous improvement.

Test Technician/ Test Engineer | $5000 Basic + Allowances | 4-Day Work Week | Tampines

Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: $3,000 - $5000
• 12-hour Day Shift Allowance: +S$12 per shift
• 12-hour Night Shift Allowance: +S$24 per shift
• Meal & Transport Allowance: S$16 per working day
• 4-Day Work Week

Work Location: Tampines

Rest Day: Every Sunday

Working Hours

Training Period (First 3 Months)

Monday to Friday

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Upon Completion of Training

Weekly rotating 12-hour shifts

Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Choose one of the following fixed shift teams:

• Team A: Monday to Thursday
• Team B: Friday, Saturday, Monday & Tuesday
• Team C: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret Test Process Instructions (TPI) and support training for production personnel.
• Provide technical guidance on testing procedures and assist with troubleshooting during production.
• Maintain training records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Create and maintain server Golden Images (GI) and ensure test database accuracy.
• Configure rack test templates based on engineering documentation.
• Support deployment of rack configurations into production test systems.
• Maintain component database records and system configurations.
• Troubleshoot test-related issues, perform basic root cause analysis, and upscale complex issues when required.
• Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams through established processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide guidance to junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements

• Associate Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in a testing, manufacturing, or production environment, or at least 4 years of relevant experience without the stated qualification.
• Experience with server, hardware, rack, or electronics testing will be an advantage.
• Able to commit to rotating day and night shifts after the training period.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of Linux and/or DOS operating systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts.
• Computer hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to read and understand Python or other scripting languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
