Job summary

Lumilens is building photonics infrastructure for AI-scale computing. We seek versatile Engineers to ramp up and optimize high‑volume production lines at the Bulim facility, designing and sustaining manufacturing processes, test systems, and automation infrastructure.

You will develop test fixtures, optimize line performance, and collaborate across NPI, Design, and Quality to ensure robust production capability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands‑on engineering experience in high‑volume electronics assembly, SMT, PCBA testing, or semiconductor packaging.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in SPC, FMEA, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish SOPs, process windows, and equipment maintenance recipes for NPI to mass production.
• Monitor line yields, track Cpk metrics, and deploy SPC to eliminate defects.
• Partner with NPI, Design, and Quality teams to execute ECNs and qualify tooling or component substitutes.
• Lead cross‑functional problem‑solving initiatives using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, DOE).

About the Role

We are seeking versatile Engineers to drive the ramp-up and optimization of our high-volume production lines at the Bulim facility. You will design, optimize, and sustain critical manufacturing processes, test systems, and automation infrastructure across key factory domains.

Specialization Tracks

• Test & Test Maintenance (TE): Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot functional test fixtures, automated test equipment (ATE), and test scripts.
• SMT & Process (SMT Machine / SMT Process): Optimize solder paste printing, high-speed pick-and-place, reflow profiling, and AOI/SPI parameters.
• Automation & Industrial Engineering (AE / IE): Implement robotic cells, optimize line balancing, cycle times, ergonomic layout, and factory throughput.
• Debug, Failure Analysis & Rework (Debug / FA / RE): Drive component-level PCBA failure analysis, root-cause 8D investigations, and micro-rework standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), process windows, and equipment maintenance recipes for new product introductions (NPI) to mass production.
• Monitor line yields, track Cpk metrics, and deploy SPC methodologies to eliminate recurring production defects.
• Partner with NPI, Design, and Quality teams to execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and qualify new tooling or component substitutes.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, DOE).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2+ years of hands‑on engineering experience in high-volume electronics assembly, SMT, PCBA testing, or semiconductor packaging.
• Practical exposure to at least one primary domain: SMT equipment, ATE/LabVIEW/Python test scripts, PLC programming, or PCBA failure analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in SPC, FMEA, and data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP).
