Manufacturing Technician

The Manufacturing Technician will work closely with the manufacturing team and the CENTAURI software and hardware engineering teams to ensure that quality and throughput are maintained in device production and that quality and production metrics are captured and analysed. The Manufacturing team is led by Max, Transcelestial's Head of Hardware Engineering (https://www.linkedin.com/in/max-wisten/). This position reports to Max and will be responsible for providing support to meet production output targets and continuous smooth running of manufacturing operations.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will:

• Actively participate in the hands‑on assembly of Transcelestial Centauri, our ground‑breaking laser communications solution.
• Support the setup, testing and upgrades of jigs and other tools and workstations used in the manufacturing process.
• Improve overall manufacturing processes and schedules
• Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on the manufacturing line
• Ensure the production yield and targets are achieved

What you will bring

• A hardcore attitude to solving hard problems and excited by building new products and solving assembly problems
• A startup mentality of flexibility and adaptability, with the team‑player mindset needed to make the highest quality products at the fastest pace and "giving your best."
• 0‑2 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic proficiency in data entry and using spreadsheets (i.e. Google sheets, MS Excel).
• Hands‑on skills in product assembly and first principles thinking in diagnostics.

• Have a diploma and above in an Engineering discipline like hardware / optics / electronics.
