Applied Materials in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our cleanroom environment. You will build, repair and test electro‑mechanical and vacuum assemblies, following schematics and work orders.

You will perform audits, document progress, and support process improvements while adhering to safety and SOPs in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing setting.

Qualificações

• High school or technical diploma required.
• Basic analytical method or operational process experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (written and verbal).
• Using basic hand tools.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum assemblies and components using work orders and schematics.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum and process testing to specifications.
• Troubleshoot system and component issues and implement improvements.
• Receive parts, conduct audits and ensure availability of parts.
• Complete required documentation and update progress, expenses and labor details.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you’ll work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment to build and test our multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that’s behind the technology we use every day. You’ll be responsible for building, repairing, and testing various types of equipment–including electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components. You will perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs– and perform audits to ensure necessary parts are available and inspected for defects. Using test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps you’ll test assemblies, complete documentation, perform repairs, or install software to continuously improve our processes.

Role Responsibilities

• Use work orders (including schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and instructions) to build, repair and/or test equipment of various kinds (electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, sub‑assemblies and components)
• Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum and process testing on AMAT platforms to Engineering and Manufacturing documentation and specifications.
• Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems
• Receive parts and perform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available; inspect parts for defects; troubleshoot and improve processes
• Complete required job documentation (data entry) about progress, work expense and labor details; perform computer programming, repair or software installs, if needed

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school or technical diploma, technical degree, certificate or equivalent
• Basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
• Ability to follow standard operation procedures (written and verbal)
• Using of basic hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree or technical education, certifications or trainings
• A willingness to expand your skills within an analytical/scientific method or operational process
• Solid analytical skills, and an ability to problem‑solve using established operating procedures or scientific methods
• SAP Knowledge
• Standard LOTO procedure

Physical Requirements: This is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts. Additionally, because this position may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.
