Job summary

Emerson in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production equipment, perform repair and preventive maintenance, manage spare parts, and drive equipment improvement in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality, equipment reliability and operational excellence while contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance including inspections, servicing and calibration.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems to support equipment operation and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Address production redlights related to equipment/tool failure and ensure timely recovery of manufacturing operations.
• Perform PM, CM and AM to ensure continuous production operations and improve uptime.
• Execute in-house testing and calibrations of equipment per established procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for contract services and projects to support objectives.
• Manage spare parts inventory, stock replenishment and tracking of critical spares to minimize downtime.
• Drive continuous equipment improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
• Support production rework activities to ensure product quality and compliance with specification.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Address production redlights related to equipment/tool failure and ensure timely recovery of manufacturing operations
• Perform equipment/facility maintenance activities, including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) to ensure continuous production operations & improve equipment uptime
• Execute in-house testing and calibrations of equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors in the execution of contract services and projects to support operational and business objectives
• Manage spare parts management, including inventory control, stock replenishment and tracking of critical spares to minimize equipment downtime
• Drive continuous equipment improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, improve performance, and increase manufacturing efficiency.
• Support in executing production rework activities to ensure product quality and compliance with specification

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Proficient in equipment troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and maintenance support for resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
• Experience in performing preventive maintenance activities including inspections, servicing, calibration and replacement of wear & tear components in accordance with maintenance schedules.
• Possess working knowledge of PLCs and automations systems, enabling effective support of equipment operation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or any related field
• Minimum 3 years of related manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of welding automation systems and process is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.
