Job Description
- Responsible for performing a variety of technical support duties in one or more manufacturing areas, which may involve working with and assisting engineers.
- Duties may be related to the selection, installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment; technical support of one or more production/fabrication processes, product testing and troubleshooting; and/or technical analyses and problem-solving.
- Carries out and/or assists in the development, improvement and optimization of standards, processes and procedures in the manufacturing environment, which may include cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance.
- May assist in qualifying sources of raw materials, chemicals and other ingredients used in the manufacturing process.
- May use layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals and rough sketches or drawings to set up, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment and perform maintenance and repairs.
- Works with engineers to develop, execute and track the testing and problem resolution of new and existing components, parts, products or processes/systems.
- Compiles and maintains applicable documentation.
- May design and/or build tools.
Qualifications
- Diploma or NITEC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).
