Job summary

Pelagus 3D PTE. LTD. is seeking a Manufacturing & Supply Chain Engineer to help build and strengthen the global supplier network and ensure each project is matched to the right supplier with the right capabilities and cost.

The role sits at the intersection of engineering, supply chain and operations, with RFQ management, DfM optimization and ongoing supplier performance tracking to deliver high-value parts on demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering, supply chain, or related technical field.
• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement or supplier engineering.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, fabrication, additive manufacturing / 3D printing) and Design for Manufacturing principles.
• Experience running RFQs, evaluating quotations and negotiating with suppliers, with a commercial, value-oriented mindset.
• Experience in tracking supplier or vendor performance and driving measurable improvement through data and corrective actions is a bonus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional international teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Managers in developing and expanding Pelagus’ global manufacturing network, identifying, onboarding and qualifying new suppliers to close capability, capacity and geographical gaps.
• Match projects and parts to the most suitable suppliers, balancing technical capability, quality, cost, capacity and lead time to ensure the right fit for every job.
• Run the RFQ process end-to-end: prepare technical enquiry packages, obtain and evaluate quotations, and lead commercial negotiations to secure the best value.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DfM) reviews with suppliers and internal engineering teams to optimise parts for cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, working with suppliers to ensure the timely, in-specification delivery of parts and resolving production issues as they arise.
• Track supplier performance against clear metrics (quality, on-time delivery, cost, responsiveness) and drive improvement plans and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional international teams across engineering, quality, commercial and operations, and with suppliers and partners around the world.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly related to the Maritime and Oil & Gas sectors.
• Contribute to building the tools, data and processes that make supplier selection and performance management scalable as the network and commercial opportunities grow.

Your Role

Our manufacturing network is the engine of Pelagus. As a Manufacturing & Supply Chain Engineer you will help build and strengthen that network, and make sure every project is matched to the right supplier with the right capabilities, quality and cost. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, supply chain and operations, running RFQs and negotiations, driving Design for Manufacturing, and turning supplier performance data into continuous improvement. It is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who wants to see their decisions impact critical parts in high value industries.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement or supplier engineering, ideally in an engineering or industrial environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, casting, fabrication, industrial additive manufacturing / 3D printing) and Design for Manufacturing principles.
• Experience running RFQs, evaluating quotations and negotiating with suppliers, with a commercial, value-oriented mindset.
• Experience in tracking supplier or vendor performance and driving measurable improvement through data and corrective actions is a bonus. Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional international teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with digital tools. Digital inventory or supply chain management system familiarization is highly regarded.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and requirements are exceeded.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, and of the Maritime, Oil & Gas or additive / on-demand manufacturing sectors, is a strong bonus
