Job Overview
- The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for implementing and optimizing assembly
- processes for electronic components and systems. This role focuses on quality, efficiency,
- cost reduction, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high standards in
- assembled products.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical drawings and enhance assembly processes for electronic
- components and sub-assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and
- quality standards.
- Contribute in process improvement initiatives, analyse workflow, and identify
- opportunities for increased productivity and reduced costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during assembly and testing.
- Maintain immaculate documentation for production lot travellers, process data
- sheets, tests records, repair histories, and configuration changes.
- Implement and verify test procedures for assembled electronic parts, assist in
- defining test specifications, and support failure analysis activities.
- Support first article build, documentation and transfer from development to
- production.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to assembly line technicians.
- Manage upstream and downstream requirements to ensure minimum downtime to
- production schedule.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with safety guidelines, industry regulations, and best
- practices.
- Perform as back up to Quality Counterpart in production line.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics
- Engineering.
- Experience working in electronics parts assembly and manufacturing environments (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency with assembly tools, test equipment, and relevant software (e.g., solidworks, ERP, office etc).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management principles is desirable.
