Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for 5-axis programming and continuous improvement on production parts. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in 5-axis programming, strong knowledge of machining techniques, and a willingness to travel. Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for 5-axis programming, test cuts of new products, and continuous improvement of existing production parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare NC programs including tooling design and selection for 5-axis milling on materials
• Perform probe programming for error proofing, datum setting, and dimensional checks.
• Ensure machining cycle time meets target levels, including all in-machine activities (probing, machining, cutter checks, etc.).
• Manage machining cost efficiency, balancing cycle time and cutter expenses.
• Collaborate with the MRB team to troubleshoot and resolve non-conformance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in 5-axis programming using Mastercam.
• Strong knowledge of 5-axis machining, macro programs, error proofing, and machine codes.
• Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Willingness to travel frequently for test cuts at overseas subsidiaries.
