Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) and provide technical leadership in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Engineering and has at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, with knowledge in cable/harness assembly preferred. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while ensuring quality standards.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) criteria for:
  • Manufacturing process development
  • Tool and fixture design
  • Integrated schedules
  • Design-to-cost initiatives
  • Sourcing technical support
  • Quality qualifications and test support
  • Production and testing activities
  • Provide technical leadership for manufacturing processes related to cables, harnesses, and electro‑mechanical assemblies, including inspection, testing, and tool/fixture design.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic production and test methodologies to optimize operations.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines to achieve project success and profitability.
  • Gather data, develop manufacturing solutions, and prepare documentation such as OMS, SOE, MI, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform electro‑mechanical assembly work and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
Requirements
  • Diploma or higher in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Knowledge in cable/harness assembly or electro‑mechanical systems preferred
