Job description
Job Objective/s

To implement strategic plan to increase capacity, process capability and both CAPEX and OPEX cost effectiveness within both the internal factory infrastructure (including all manufacturing in ATP & backend to system lines) and external factory infrastructure (all outsourcing partners) to meet both immediate and planned growth trajectory of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead all issues and activities relating to all processing equipment (single tools, cluster-tools & line-tools setup) and clean-room facilities (cleanroom environment, safety & gas/chemical/water/CDA/LN2 supplies and factory operational functions and stay abreast of latest developments to ensure that the Company maintains its competitive position.
  • Manage all aspects of the fab including, process applications, unit process performance, process modules, process integration and equipment performance to meet established KPIs.
  • Ensure that products and service provided by the fab operations fit the purpose, are consistent and meet the need of customers’ requirements.
  • Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence and manage operational cost by utilizing best practices to reduce overhead expense.
  • Direct preventive maintenance operation to ensure that the company has the highest-level availability of equipment and processing resources required for production within budget, quality and schedules.
  • Implement new equipment and processing capability and integrate to support Market, Product, Process and Technology Roadmaps of the company.
  • Ensure ATP employees are aware of quality requirements, provide training on best practices. Promote a culture of quality excellence.
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure environment friendly, safe and healthy working environment are maintained in the fab.
  • Support the development of lean manufacturing processes; continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training and employee involvement.
  • Establish and implement metrics (uptime availability, processing capability, fast response time, cost effectiveness, failure mode effect analysis, measurement quality and others) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers/engineers to make sound production planning and operational decisions.
  • All other reasonable duties, as assigned.
Qualification Guidelines
Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or sub-field of engineering

Minimum Experience

A minimum 3 years or more years experience in photonics /laser diode assembly & packaging process with some experience in manufacturing/process development, operations management in the field of photonics, semiconductors

Specific Knowledge / Skills
  • Experienced process engineer who is highly effective working in a team-oriented matrix organization.
  • Must have proven skills effective problem solving, troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis.
  • Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality and Operations
  • Understanding process validations. Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Knowledge of up-to-date production processes, designs and functions.
  • Good team player with positive working attitude and able to interact with all level, proactive and able to work independently
