Global Pharmaceutical Company looking for Manufacturing Shift Engineer, this is a 1 year contract role.
Operational and Technical Responsibilities
- Oversee execution of batch manufacturing instructions in compliance with pre-defined procedures and training.
- Monitor process-critical steps in real time to ensure flawless execution.
- Provide operational and process improvement recommendations to achieve site business targets and manufacturing excellence.
- Review and contribute to authoring batch-related recipes (POMS and DeltaV), manual operations, and ad hoc manufacturing documentation.
- Offer input or review in the design of batch/cleaning manufacturing recipes in DCS.
- Lead digitalization initiatives that support strategic business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process and operational streamlining; participate in continuous improvement (CI) projects.
- Oversee troubleshooting for processing issues, deviations, and coordinate with other functions for immediate and preventive actions.
- Train chemical operators on Operational Standard Work (OSW), operational and equipment updates, and risk assessments.
- Assist in commissioning, qualification, and validation activities for CAPEX projects.
- Lead and coordinate product and cleaning changeover activities.
Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with regulatory and global/local EHS policies.
- Lead or participate in safety risk assessments and process hazard analysis (PHA) as the operations representative.
Quality Responsibilities
- Resolve batch-related document errors promptly.
- Communicate events and issues effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide input for investigations, including impact assessment and CAPA recommendations.
- Ensure plant upkeep during the shift, maintaining an audit-ready environment.
Schedule and Planning
- Oversee deliverables, anticipate complexities, and prevent potential bottlenecks.
- Ensure processes run according to the planned schedule with minimal delays and proactively report any expected delays to the shift supervisor.
