Job summary

Allegis Group Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Bioprocess Technician to execute upstream/downstream biomanufacturing steps per batch records and SOPs. You will operate bioreactors, centrifuges, chromatography and related equipment, ensuring timetables and cGMP compliance are met.

The role requires 1–4 years in biopharma/manufacturing, a life sciences degree, and strong documentation/communication skills with a cleanroom mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in a life sciences/bioprocess-related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in biopharmaceutical, biotech, pharma or manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience operating bioprocess equipment is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom and following strict compliance procedures.
• Good documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute upstream, downstream and/or central services biomanufacturing processes per approved batch records and SOPs.
• Operate bioprocess equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, buffer preparation systems, chromatography systems and related manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure production activities comply with cGMP requirements and production schedules.
• Perform in-process sampling, testing and monitoring of critical quality attributes.
• Maintain accurate GMP documentation, including electronic batch records.
• Adhere to cleanroom requirements, biosafety procedures and EHS regulations.
• Conduct equipment cleaning, sanitisation and preparation activities.
• Participate in investigations related to manufacturing deviations and support corrective actions.
• Support technology transfer, process validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate bioprocess equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, buffer preparation systems, chromatography systems and related manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure production activities are completed according to cGMP requirements and production schedules.

Quality & Compliance

• Perform in-process sampling, testing and monitoring of critical quality attributes.
• Maintain accurate and complete GMP documentation, including electronic batch records.
• Adhere to cleanroom requirements, biosafety procedures and EHS regulations.

Equipment & Process Support

• Conduct equipment cleaning, sanitisation and preparation activities.
• Participate in investigations related to manufacturing deviations and support corrective actions.
• Support technology transfer, process validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Bioprocess Technology, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience operating bioprocess equipment is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and following strict compliance procedures.
• Good documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Upstream or downstream bioprocessing experience.
• Knowledge of bioreactors, chromatography, filtration or centrifugation systems.
• Experience with electronic batch records (EBR).
• Familiarity with process validation and technology transfer activities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
