Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement business strategies and operational plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Drive long-term growth initiatives, including market expansion, strategic partnerships, and new product or service development.
- Lead digital transformation, process optimisation, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making.
Financial & Operational Management
- Prepare and submit annual budgets to Head Office, ensuring adherence to approved capital and operational expenditure limits.
- Provide accurate monthly financial and management reports within required timelines.
- Oversee inventory planning, procurement, and purchase order coordination with Head Office to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement and track KPIs across all departments to ensure operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Identify operational issues and improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Sales, Service & Customer Excellence
- Lead and supervise the sales team to achieve KPIs, including sales targets and collection goals.
- Oversee technical and after-sales operations to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer enquiries.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, business partners, and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and external meetings.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Foster a positive, high-performance work culture that encourages teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
- Drive talent development, coaching, and succession planning efforts.
- Ensure alignment of team performance with organisational goals.
Compliance & Corporate Requirements
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements in Singapore.
- Collaborate closely with Head Office in Japan and ensure adherence to required reporting standards and business processes.
- Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency and continuity.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience overseeing business operations in the industrial printer industry.
- Strong knowledge of service programs, pricing structures, and market strategies in the industrial printing sector.
- Experience leading multi-functional teams in sales, technical support, and operations.
- Proficiency in Japanese is required due to frequent communication with the Japanese Head Office and the need to review reports and documents in Japanese.
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Strong analytical, financial management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, organisational management, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement frameworks an advantage.
