Job description

Explore the possibilities across our global house of brands. Defined by inclusivity rather than exclusivity, Tapestry embraces the exploration of individuality and invests in helping you grow personally and professionally. Every individual in our global house has the opportunity to make an impact, learn and be part of our growing and unique story. At Tapestry, we have the freedom to express ourselves and run with our best ideas across Coach and Kate Spade New York. We share a profound belief in both our individual and collective potential, and know that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

Primary Purpose

The Manager, Supply Planning, leads an end-to-end team responsible for assigned brands and/or categories from purchase order creation through supplier management, delivery-change review, shipment execution and inbound receipt. The role establishes clear ownership, reduces handoffs and ensures accurate, timely order execution, while proactively managing delivery risk, corrective actions, escalations and continuous improvement with Service Providers and cross-functional partners. As a people manager and process owner, this role develops team capability, strengthens decision-making, improves operational controls and drives scalable ways of working through data, automation and continuous improvement. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to…

  • Lead and coach an end-to-end PO Management team, assigning clear brand/category ownership and ensuring balanced workload, backup coverage and consistent execution, building their capability to make sound day‑to‑day decisions with appropriate autonomy.
  • Guide order prioritization and ship‑mode recommendations based on business need, delivery risk, operational feasibility and available information.
  • Own the outcomes, governance and control framework for end‑to‑end order execution, ensuring the team has clear standards, decision rights and escalation paths across the PO lifecycle.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis of recurring delivery and execution issues, working across suppliers and cross‑functional teams (Supply Operations, Logistics, Brand/Buying teams and other stakeholders) to resolve exceptions, implement sustainable corrective actions and prevent repeat exceptions.
  • Drive supplier operating discipline and performance through data‑led, structured reviews that challenge recurring execution gaps, establish clear accountability and secure timely corrective actions.
  • Use performance measures, dashboards and exception analytics to assess delivery and execution outcomes, identify systemic issues, prioritize intervention and drive measurable improvement in delivery and execution performance.
  • Act as business owner for relevant system enhancements and process changes, including requirements definition, user acceptance testing, implementation support and adoption.
  • Champion continuous improvement of the end‑to‑end operating model by removing unnecessary hand‑offs, clarifying ownership and simplifying ways of working across Supply Planning, suppliers and cross‑functional partners, including through AI and automation opportunities that strengthen controls, improve visibility and support future scalability.
  • Support business continuity planning and ensure critical activities can be sustained during peak periods, absences or operational disruption.
  • Undertake other responsibilities and projects assigned by management.
Leadership Expectations

Set clear priorities and translate business objectives into practical team deliverables and operating routines. Coach team members to bring recommendations, own decisions and lead cross‑functional follow‑up rather than relying on manager intervention. Create a culture of ownership and accountability, with clear operating standards, documented procedures, effective cross‑training and succession/backup plans. Provide timely feedback, recognize strong contributions and address capability or execution gaps constructively. Build an inclusive, collaborative team environment that supports learning, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Communicate complex issues clearly, including the business impact, options, trade‑offs and recommended path forward.

The accomplished individual will possess
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply planning, order fulfilment, PO management, supply operations or a related supply‑chain function, including people leadership or demonstrated team‑lead responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end order execution, including PO creation and maintenance, supplier follow‑up, delivery changes, shipment milestones and inbound issue resolution.
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP platform; experience supporting system enhancements or user acceptance testing is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks, interpret operational data and convert insights into practical recommendations.
  • Process‑improvement mindset with an interest in automation, AI‑enabled solutions and scalable controls.
  • Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills across functions, geographies and external Service Providers.
  • Proven ability to coach, prioritize, delegate and build accountability within a team.
  • Solution‑oriented, detail‑conscious and well organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
