What you will do

Volvo Bus Asia Pacific is one of the leading clusters within Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC) and has a proud history of profitability and growth. It is responsible for bus vehicle and service sales business, partnership with Volvo’s own and private importers, key customers and body build partners, and progress of the Volvo Buses total business within the region.

We are looking for a commercially astute, results‑driven professional to join the team as Manager, Service Market Sales & Commercial.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Director APAC Central, the Manager, Service Market Sales & Commercial will manage the service sales and soft parts business in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop, drive and follow up the development of the service sales and soft parts business per market to achieve Business Plan
  • Improve service sales market share
  • Drive commercial development of service agreements, promoting and marketing their use in the markets
  • Drive the commercial development of Connected services, proactive analytical Web Tools by promoting and marketing their use in the markets
  • Support the vehicle tender business with service sales and soft parts information
  • Drive service sales tender business and secure tender submission
  • Coordinate market requirements within Volvo Bus Corporation and Group Trucks Operation Service Market Logistics
  • Initiate & drive business solutions
  • Develop forecasts and business reports
  • Develop and enrich relations with key customers, dealers and suppliers
  • Schedule regular visits to dealers, Public Transport Authorities, Public Transport Operators and private coach customers
  • Support importer to ensure required parts availability at all times
  • Coordinate and provide inputs to Volvo truck brand for parts pricing
  • Provide support to importer for the parts planning of new models
  • Review of market performance through monthly meeting with importers
Who are you?

Critical Competencies & Experience for the position

  • Up to 5 years’ experience in Service Market retail or commercial role
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and develop relationships with different levels of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of service sales and soft parts business
  • Enthusiastic, curious, team player and self‑starter
  • Fast learner with the ability to multi‑task between assignments/activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Interest in Public Transport and Sustainable Development
  • Exposure to different cultures in Asia Pacific region or globally
  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Volvo Parts, Warranty, data systems, tools and processes is an advantage
Qualifications
  • Technical or Engineering degree, or relevant technical/Parts qualifications
  • Fluency in English is a must, other Asian languages would be an advantage
  • Experience in working with productivity tools (MS Office, Excel & Powerpoint)
  • Candidates with competences in automation/analytics tools will have an added advantage.
