Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced ecosystem development professional who is interested in fostering partnerships to multiply impact towards the City of Good vision.

The Company of Good ("COG") programme was launched since 2016 and has since connected with more than 3200 organisations to do good strategically, sustainably and impactfully.

With the impetus for companies towards adopting Corporate Purpose, NVPC announced a refreshed Company of Good 2.0 strategy in 2023. This offers an exciting opportunity to help cultivate a future where every organisation in Singapore is purpose-driven and striving to make a net positive impact across the People, Society, Environment, Governance and Economic dimensions.

This role will focus on driving and implementing national-level interventions to create value and building partnerships within the corporate ecosystem to strengthen the industry for corporates to drive purpose and do good.

The candidate should have a deep interest in harvesting, harmonising and developing knowledge in the sector (especially on Corporate Purpose, Corporate Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility, ESG, Corporate Community Investment, etc.) and translating it into strategy, and programmes for ecosystem level applications.

The candidate should have an appreciation of the roles, dynamics and interactions amongst different stakeholders in an ecosystem and be well-versed in acquiring and maintaining multi-lateral relationships with partners. The candidate should also possess excellent stakeholder management skills so as to align complex and potentially competing interests, aspirations and actions in the sector.

Core Duties And Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Ecosystem Development
    Lead the development of COG strategies and ecosystem-building efforts, cultivating partnerships across corporate, government, and trade association and chambers stakeholders to create value for the Company of Good community.
  • National Platforms & Programmes
    Drive engagements and manage projects with ecosystem partners to establish or enhance national-level platforms and programmes that help businesses advance their "doing good" agenda.
  • Government & Strategic Partnerships
    Serve as liaison with strategic partners, including government agencies and the parent ministry, to align on strategy, workplans, budgets, and KPI reviews.
  • Recognition & Trustmark Development
    Evolve the Company of Good Recognition System into a national trustmark, strengthening its role as a value creation and credibility tool for businesses.
  • Dialogues, Studies & Coalition Building
    Support dialogues, research, and collaborative initiatives with stakeholders (including similar national set-ups) to co-create a shared understanding and aspiration for "Corporate Purpose" in Singapore.
  • Cross-Team Integration
    Contribute to integration and synergy across the Corporate and Industry Partnerships team, ensuring alignment between Corporate Engagement Partnerships, and Impact & Development functions.

Key Deliverables

  • Establish Industry of Good initiative: A national partnership of Trade Associations affiliated with Company of Good.
  • Develop and implement cross-industry and industry-level capability development programmes: Equip and empower SME companies to implement Corporate Purpose and the five impact areas through tailored knowledge sessions and mentorship from Queen Bee companies
  • Develop industry-level programmes for companies to embark and/or progress through their Corporate Purpose journey
  • Facilitate the COG Roundtable discussions on a bi-annual basis
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; including Business Administration or Management/Public Policy/Social Science
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industry and/or market development
  • Experience in developing and/or implementing policies or interventions at the national level and/or equivalent
