Position Overview

The Pre-Sales/Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in the expansion and market positioning of the client business development initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, supporting the sales cycle, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Job Description
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets relevant to client products, services, and certification programs.
  • Engage in lead generation activities, qualifying prospects, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic positioning and value proposition development.
  • Work closely with the technical and sales teams to prepare presentations, demonstrations, and proposals for prospective clients.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote client and establish key relationships.
  • Assist in the development and negotiation of contracts, pricing structures, and partnership agreements under guidance from senior management.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new clients, ensuring a seamless transition from prospect to long-term partner.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify emerging business opportunities and potential threats.
  • Prepare regular status reports, forecasts, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, pre-sales, or sales roles, ideally within the industrial, engineering, or certification sector.
  • Familiarity with the welding industry, fabrication, or client products and services is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize information into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships and networks.
  • Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools.
