Job summary

A government agency in Singapore is seeking a Communications officer to enhance public communication of policies and programmes. You will manage media relations and crisis communications, develop media strategies, and build relationships with media contacts. Job description
What the role is:

As a member of the Communications and Engagement team, you will play an instrumental role in communicating CSA's policies and programmes to the public. In partnership with stakeholders from the public and private sectors such as businesses, media outlets and other government agencies, the officer will specialise in managing media relations and crisis communications to drive public awareness and appreciation of CSA’s initiatives.

What you will be working on:
  • Develop and implement media strategies with external and internal stakeholders to profile CSA’s initiatives and events in mainstream media.
  • Undertake media relations work as a team member, which includes coordination with the press on day-to-day media inquiries, drafting press releases, Q&A documents and media briefs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts to identify opportunities to pitch positive CSA stories.
  • Support operations and logistics to promote CSA’s events and programmes.
What we are looking for:
  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in media relations and mass communications, including event management.
  • Good understanding of multi-channel communications, including social media trends.
  • Confident in project management and enjoys working in a people-oriented environment.
  • A high-energy individual who is hands-on, independent, and looks forward to a fast-paced, exciting working environment.
  • Good writing skills, with a bubbly personality and positive interpersonal and communication skills.
