Military Security Department (MSD) seeks a data-focused professional to plan, design and develop the digitalisation of protective security management for MINDEF/SAF, with emphasis on physical security. What the role is:
You will be part of a team that plans, designs and develops digitalisation of protective security management of MINDEF/SAF, with a focus in physical security.
What you will be working on:
You will execute plans for digitalization of physical security which will involve partnering key stakeholders in MINDEF/SAF to define the digitalization goals and priorities, develop action plans, recommend and implement solutions. In addition, you will set up and manage work teams with internal and external (MINDEF/SAF) stakeholders to perform business process re-engineering and co-create solution to improve operational efficiency, gain security insights and better user experience with MSD protective security consultations and services. As part of the life cycle management of digital solutions, you also have to maintain, sustain and refresh the digital systems.
What we are looking for:
You should have a tertiary education, and strong data analytics and data visualisation skills. You should also be comfortable with use of AI and LLM tools. Experience in business analytics projects would be advantageous.
About Military Security Department
The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
