Job description

Overview

You will be part of the Security Division’s (SD) Planning team who is responsible for Planning and Development of Projects to enhance the overall security capabilities for Jurong Island (JI).

Responsibilities

What you will be working on:

You are expected to assess the vulnerability and risk; formulate the plans and solution and determine the budget required. You will be expected to collaborate with various state agencies and internal units (e.g. JTC clusters and Jurong Island tenants) in the course of work, to assess and determine the security operation requirement. When required, you will also work with the various security vendors and technical consultants to specify the technical specifications of the proposed security systems. You will also update the JI Security Master Plan based on the latest security threat environment and continue to meet state agencies policy and regulations. You will also be the planner to look into the future expansion or relocation of the JI checkpoints to meet future business demand and capacity in JI. You will be expected to staff the requirements to the management, to seek Approval of Requirements for the procurement of security systems and solutions for Jurong Island. You will develop the specification for the tender and carry out the procurement process to eventually bring in the capabilities and to operationalise the capabilities. As the Project-in-charge, you will lead and guide the team in the implementation of the project, adhering to the timeline and carry out testing and the successful commissioning of the project. You will need to be versatile and be able to work across the departments within SD for operational synergy and efficiency. Specially, you are expected to be familiar with JI checkpoint and security operations and at times be required to support ongoing security operations and project implementation held from JI Operations Centre.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

At least 3 to 4 years of experience in security or security-related operations and planning. Experience in security technologies would be an advantage.
