Redstone Commodity Search are working with a Trading House looking to hire a Research Manager to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, carry out and supervise research methodology for crop estimation contributing to the progression of the research strategy.
• Collection and review of primary and secondary data and performing sanity check on databases and external sources to ensure consistency of data collection and reporting.
• Present the risks to the crop estimate by pre-empting various scenarios and assessing the macro / micro impact of various scenarios on yields and associated probabilities such as weather, pests, diseases, changing costs or supply of inputs or labour etc.
• Analyse trends, evaluate behaviours etc, make appropriate conclusions and communicate the findings with relevant colleagues and partners.
• Role reports to senior exec team

Qualifications

• Masters in Agriculture (Specialization in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture)
• Strong working knowledge in MS Office and strong analytical skills
• 4+ years’ experience
• Willing to travel upcountry on regular basis for crop tours and to supervise the implementation of crop estimation methodology
• Role is to be located in or willing to relocate to Pakistan
