SIMFONI

The Singapore Medical Foundation AI model (SIMFONI) Programme was established in 2025 to advance the safe and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Singapore’s public healthcare ecosystem to support healthcare professionals in providing care to patients.

SIMFONI will build up the capabilities and infrastructure to accelerate the development and deployment of large‑scale machine learning models, known as Foundation models (FM) for improved healthcare outcomes.

Job Description

As a Manager in the Programme Office, you will work closely with the lead to provide operational, coordination, and administrative support to SIMFONI’s programmes and initiatives. The role works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders across the healthcare and research ecosystem to ensure smooth programme operations, effective governance, and timely reporting.

This role is well‑suited for an organised and detail‑oriented individual who is comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and supporting complex programmes in a fast‑evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
Programme & Governance Coordination
  • Lead the coordination of internal meetings, workshops, steering committees, and working groups, including agenda planning, materials preparation, minutes, and follow‑up of action items.
  • Support governance processes by ensuring timely submissions, approvals, and proper documentation.
Funding, Budgeting & Procurement Management
  • Support programme and project funding management processes, including budget planning, utilisation tracking, forecasting, and financial monitoring.
  • Coordinate procurement and vendor management processes in compliance with organisational and public‑sector guidelines.
  • Support funding‑related documentation, reporting, and audit requirements.
Knowledge & Information Management
  • Oversee document repositories and collaborative platforms, ensuring information is accurate, well‑structured, and accessible.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards and operational trackers to support programme continuity and transparency.
Secretariat & Operational Leadership
  • Provide secretariat support to key committees and working groups, ensuring decisions and actions are clearly documented and followed through.
  • Guide staff or vendors, where applicable, on administrative and operational processes.
Stakeholder & Cross‑Organisational Collaboration
  • Support organisational objectives by fostering strong working relationships and enabling effective collaboration across teams.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline. Those with relevant working experience in relevant field may also be considered.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in programme and grant management, operations, project coordination, or governance roles.
  • Prior experience working with multiple stakeholders, preferably in healthcare, research, or public‑sector environments.
Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Experience in reporting, budgeting support, and operational tracking.
  • Familiarity with procurement and funding processes is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in structured, governance‑heavy environments with evolving priorities.
