About the Role

A Procurement Manager oversees the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. They develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to define and execute the company’s overall purchasing strategy, including materials demand forecasting and cost estimation
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes that support business objectives, ensuring alignment with operational requirements for price, quality, and delivery
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement function to drive value creation, mitigate supply chain risks, and deliver measurable cost savings in line with business goals
  • Maintain up-to-date market intelligence, including insights into vendor capabilities, strategies, and emerging market trends
  • Influence and advise internal stakeholders on the selection of direct materials that enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver added value to customers
  • Build and manage a robust vendor base, nurturing supplier relationships and establishing a structured evaluation and selection process to ensure performance and compliance
  • Develop and execute effective negotiation strategies with vendors to secure competitive pricing, ensure adherence to quality standards, and meet delivery expectations
  • Proactively communicate market changes and their potential impact on supply, providing actionable insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Recommend cost-optimisation solutions that uphold quality and service standards while supporting operational efficiency
  • Champion sustainable procurement practices by incorporating sustainability criteria into supplier selection and assessment processes; evaluate environmental, social, and ethical risks, and conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with sustainability standards and continuous improvement across the supply chain
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Purchasing Management with 10 years of experience or Diploma with 15 years of experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management
  • Proven experience in development of strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, vendor management, negotiation, project management and/or cost and price analysis.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to manage key stakeholders and build client relationships.
