Job description

As part of Changi Airport Group’s Engineering team, you will be leading a team to oversee the maintenance and performance of aircraft pavements and airport roadways. This role is critical to ensuring the continuous functionality, safety, and operational reliability of civil airside infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong asset management expertise, be responsive to operational challenges, and be adept at stakeholder coordination and budget management. You shall be responsible for the safe, timely and quality completion of the works in an operational environment with minimal disruption to operations, and to constantly engage our stakeholders prior and during the works implementation.

Oversee the comprehensive asset management of aircraft pavements and airport roadways, ensuring they are always in optimal condition for safe and efficient airport operations.

Monitor the functionality and performance of pavements, utilizing data trending and performance metrics to detect issues and forecast maintenance needs.

  • Perform rapid assessment and response to pavement issues that may impede aircraft operations, ensuring minimal operational disruption and maintaining safety standards.
  • Carrying out trend analysis and condition assessments to identify root causes of asset deterioration. Propose realistic, technically sound solutions for longer-term reliability and performance improvement.
  • Managing budget effectively, prioritizing works to maximize asset value and condition while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Propose, plan and execute minor improvement works to enhance the sustainability, resilience, and serviceability of assets.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders; including airport operations, safety teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to plan and execute day to day maintenance operations and improvement works.
  • Stand by proposed recommendations and solutions with strong technical justification, leveraging industry knowledge and best practices in pavement design, maintenance, and repair.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of 8 years’ experience
  • Preferably with working experience in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Interest in managing projects and running an operational team in a highly demanding environment
  • Customer-driven and enjoys field work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
