Job summary

Overview

Manager, M365 Exchange Online / Exchange Server

Role Overview

You will maintain and enhance the infrastructure and delivery of our email platform, working with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Office 365, ATP, Microsoft Intune, Exchange Server, Active Directory) and third-party email gateway solutions. A user-centric mindset and collaboration with international teams are essential.

What you will do
  • Provide core administration and escalation support for messaging services, focusing on Cisco IronPort and Microsoft EOP/ATP in a globally distributed O365 cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operations staff to test, implement, and transition new services or upgrades to existing core email security services, focusing on Cisco IronPort, Exchange, and the O365 space.
  • Troubleshoot and administer MS Exchange servers (2016 and above), including resolving mail flow issues in hybrid environments.
  • Manage incidents and problems, ensuring ongoing operational excellence of environments, infrastructure consolidation/expansion, and release/patch management, including developing and executing production support procedures such as business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Proactively anticipate service issues before they occur and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Participate in projects as a subject matter expert as needed.
  • Develop and execute production support procedures, including business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage Exchange Online mailboxes, including configuration of settings, mailbox quotas, inbox rules, and PowerShell usage.
  • Participate in projects related to knowledge base creation to help reduce service desk incidents.
  • Provide support for Exchange Online email environments and email security/hygiene-related issues.
  • Support Outlook Client and OWA, group management products, and user account management and troubleshooting.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Intune and Outlook in mobile.
What should you have
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of practical experience with configuration/deployment/support of Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange 2010/2013.
  • Ability to author high-quality technical documents.
  • Experience with Exchange Online/On-Premises Exchange 2016 or later.
  • Experience with Email archiving & Email Reporting services.
  • Knowledge of MS Exchange Transport Rules, MS Defender-Email & Collaboration, Cisco Email Security (IronPort) or other email security gateway products.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Mailbox Management and Distribution & Office365 group management.
  • Experience with Outlook Apps integration.
  • Application integration and deployment with Email Services.
  • Basic understanding of DNS, network firewall, and load balancer concepts.
  • Experience with Internet gateways and message filtering/system hygiene.
  • Experience with providing support for Exchange Online email environments and email security/hygiene-related issues.
  • Understanding of complex globally distributed email environments and internet email routing concepts.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain critical networks and relationships across the enterprise.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow through; good organizational skills with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Programming / Scripting knowledge is a plus (PowerShell, Wise Studio, AutoIt, VBScript, XML, CMD/Batch).
