Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to be part of our RWS2.0 Transformation team. The selected candidate will be part of the Design Management Team and will be focused on the review, feasibility and evaluation of landscape design proposals and implementation on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review design submissions from various landscape design consultants to ensure that the proposed design meets the criteria of the project in terms of aesthetics, maintenance, cost, safety and sustainability.
  • Review hardscape and softscape implementation on site and ensure that the design intent has been maintained and works being done can be properly upkept.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest landscape design trends to create experiential environments rather than static displays.
  • Support the Design Management team feasibility studies for space planning and massing studies to support softscape/hardscape component to evaluate site specific development potential in both AutoCAD and Sketchup.
  • Conduct project research and feasibility studies on suitable planting types, maintenance regimes, irrigation methodologies and efforts to reduce manpower reliance for the upkeep of softscape and hardscape.
  • Strong understanding of upkeep and maintenance of local plant species and familiar with local and regional suppliers and nurseries.
  • Provide support to the project implementation team in preparing RFPs, tender, and award recommendation.
  • Work closely with the Design Management team on payment evaluations, responses and document control.
  • Proactively assess and identify potential roadblocks and risks impacting project quality, timeline or budget.
  • Review issues and challenges holistically and propose sensible solutions and / or mitigation measures.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement and recommend strategic improvements to optimize project objectives.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture/Design, or related fields.
  • Certified Arborist is a major advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the full lifecycle of architectural landscape design, construction and maintainability.
  • Prior experience in skyrise greenery projects that require root-ball anchoring and maintenance at height.
  • Prior experience in a developer or client setting is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with local codes and regulations impacting landscape and outdoor spaces.
