Job description

Position Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for leading and optimizing day-to-day operations. This includes managing resources, processes, and technologies to ensure that R&D projects are delivered on time and in alignment with programs schedules. This role requires strong technical background, leadership experience and keen understanding of both engineering operations and product development processes to support multiple R&D projects. The incumbent will ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain lab assets, manage technical staff, and provide operational support to accelerate innovation and product development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day R&D operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and workflow efficiency.

• Enable and support test activities for product development, characterization, and validation.

• Implement and maintain SOPs, lab safety protocols, EHS standards, and cleanroom procedures.

• Manage cleanroom facilities, including equipment installation, qualification, and preventive maintenance to ensure 24/7 operational readiness.

• Analyze operational data, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement using lean methodologies and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align R&D operations with organizational goals and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, performance reviews, and training support to build a high-performing R&D team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field (advanced degree preferred) with 10+ years in semiconductor R&D, including 5+ years in engineering operations.

• Hands-on experience with semiconductor processes, test methodologies, and cleanroom operations.

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
