Summary
The IT Manager – Infrastructure & Security is responsible for overseeing the Group-wide IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity systems across all operational sites. This role ensures the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure to support business operations, with a strong focus on manufacturing environments. The manager will also ensure strategic alignment with business objectives, adherence to compliance standards such as ISO 27001, and the delivery of secure, high-performing IT services.
The role requires a proactive leader who can manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, work independently and collaboratively, and perform effectively under pressure to meet critical deadlines and operational demands.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of IT systems across both IT and OT environments.
- Maintain robust disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Monitor infrastructure health and proactively address potential issues.
IT Security Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT security policies, protocols, and procedures in alignment with ISO 27001 and other relevant standards.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Service Desk Management
- Lead and manage the service desk team to ensure timely and effective resolution of user support requests and incidents.
- Monitor and analyze service desk performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement in user experience and support processes.
Project Management & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate IT infrastructure and security-related projects from planning to execution.
- Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of projects within budget.
- Facilitate communication between IT teams, vendors, and business units to ensure alignment and transparency.
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems support business objectives.
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure and security budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and present reports on infrastructure performance, security posture, service desk metrics, and project status to senior management.
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing Global or Regional IT infrastructure, security, and service desk, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in a Manufacturing organization.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to team leadership and cross-functional coordination.
- Deep expertise in network and server management, including virtualization and cloud platforms.
- Successfully deployed and managed hybrid cloud environments, optimizing cost and performance across multiple sites.
- Hands-on experience with Aruba and Fortinet network solutions, ensuring secure and resilient connectivity.
- Proficient in cybersecurity frameworks, including ISO 27001 implementation and audit readiness.
- Skilled in threat detection, prevention, and incident response, leveraging SIEM, NDR platforms
- Implemented endpoint protection and EDR solutions, enhancing security posture across manufacturing endpoints.
- Managed regional service desk operations, improving SLA adherence and user satisfaction through optimized ticketing workflows and performance metrics.
- Familiar with ITIL practices and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance service delivery.
- Designed and maintained backup and disaster recovery strategies using cloud back-up solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Experienced in budget planning, vendor management, and IT governance aligned with manufacturing business priorities.
