Overview
  • Business Human Resources (BHR) serves as a trusted partner to the business, helping to shape our culture, supporting our business strategies, and delivering the talent and capabilities necessary to make a remarkable impact on AbbVie and patients around the world.
  • The role leverages best-in-class HR practices to continuously create, deliver and support programs that establish AbbVie as an employer of choice while empowering all employees at all levels of the organization.
  • The role partners with business leaders of assigned functions to develop and implement people strategies and tactics that support the business plans and the achievement of both short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of HR strategies to meet organizational and business needs.
  • Actively participate in the designing and executing talent strategies to attract, develop, and retain a capable workforce to enable new technologies, processes, and growth. This includes identifying and cultivating new capabilities required for future success, as well as leading talent development and succession planning efforts.
  • Support the effective redesign and transformation of the organizational structure, addressing changes required for scaling operations, integrating new roles, processes, and technologies for optimal plant performance.
  • Oversee and continuously improve training, certification, and upskilling programs; drive competency-based development for production teams and supervisors.
  • Coach, consult, and influence people leaders, including senior leadership (SLT), regarding leadership development, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Drive people manager development to create clarity and consistency of expectations and accountability and enrich manager/employee experiences.
  • Partner with people leaders to shape a culture of high employee engagement, high performance, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of all HR programs and services.
  • Build and sustain strong collaborative relationships with key HR partners from all Centers of Excellence and Service Centers to ensure HR elements are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; this includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles and responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.
  • Monitor, analyze and leverage trends and emerging best practices to recommend new approaches to business processes for simplification and agility.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related studies
  • 8+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in healthcare or related manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting the business; strong business acumen
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex and demanding environment
  • Project management or business experience will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to engage employees at all levels
