The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in a controllership or accounting role and exhibit strong analytical and communication skills. Group Reporting and Analysis
  • Manage various group management reporting requirements for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Manage the preparation of group financial performance analysis with appropriate explanation on the variances and input on areas of improvement.
  • Prepare board paper to update the board on quarterly financial performance for the Group.
Tax management and reporting
  • Provide tax advice, directly or indirectly through tax advisors to plan for appropriate exposure to direct and indirect taxes.
  • Conduct research on domestic and international indirect tax issues and propose tax efficient alternatives for management consideration.
  • Review quarterly GST and monthly SST report and ensure accuracy and timeliness of GST/SST filing
  • Review corporate tax and deferred taxation for the Group and liaise with MISC Tax Unit and External Tax Agent to ensure timely filing
  • Review and ensure accuracy and timeliness of Withholding Tax (WHT) filing
  • Review Transfer Pricing document and Permanent Establishment assessment/study.
Preparation of Group Yearly Budget
  • Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of Group 5 years Budget and yearly forecast.
  • Engage with management team for the review and endorsement of the Group consolidated budget before submission to MISC Group
Support for Corporate exercise
  • Provide key input into all corporate business development exercise including S&P agreement, JV agreement and Operations agreements.
  • Provide advice on financial aspect of all corporate exercise initiatives to facilitate the organizational design, implementation of sustainable and optimum Group structure with minimal risk exposure.
Closure of external audit exercise
  • Manage the preparation of the consolidated Group financial statement and review the accuracy and completeness for finalization with the external auditors.
  • Provide support in the closure of relevant audit issues raised by external auditors.
  • Manage the preparation of board papers for approval of the consolidated Group audited financial results.
Balance Score Card management
  • Coordinate the development and consolidation of balance score card and key risk indicator for Finance.
  • Track and update the performance against balance score card and key risk indicator on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
Support for Financial Reporting Control (FRC) testing
  • Perform the role as assessor for specific financial control functional checklist assigned and provide accurate assessment with supporting evidence to complete the FRC testing in timely manner.
Group management reporting

  • Manage the preparation of group financial performance analysis with appropriate explanation on the variances and input on areas of improvement.
