To provide support as a key member of the Risk Management department that has main objectives as follows:
- Developing and Implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and respective risk policies that create values for the various stakeholders and achieve the company’s aspirations and strategies.
- Formulating risk management plans and initiatives that create values for the various business partners (other functions) within the organisation.
- Create and promote risk awareness culture across the organisation and establish stakeholders’ (business partners) ownership and accountabilities in risk management activities.
In general the jobholder is requiredзя to assist in :
- Developing/leading risk appetite statements, setting limits against solvency and other risk appetite dimensions.
- Supporting/Leading the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and preparation of ORSA report for presentation and submission to various parties including MASాప్తివ్టింగ.
- Monitoring insurance and financial risk exposure against risk appetite with the use of key risk indicators and other risk measures
- Partnering key business stakeholders in identifying and assessing risks and controls, including financial, operational and insurance risks.
- Contributing in cross functional teams to investigate and manage current and emerging risk in areas such as claims, reserving and reinsurance
- Contribute to detailed product risk assessment from product pricing perspective in order to ensure the financials remain within the acceptable range in different scenarios being tested.
- Contribute/Lead in the yearly Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation review to better adapt to the evolving economy and industry.
- Develop, improve tlase and implement financial risk related group risk management frameworks, policies, guidelines/procedures, methodologies and reporting in alignment with the business objectives of EIPL
- Work towards building a centre of excellence.when financial risks to monitor and control investments and on capital adequacy to ensure responsible growth.
Requirements
- Minimum degree or professional qualifications in either actuarial science or other quantitative discipline
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience that may include actuarial or risk management.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to drive the implementation of financial and enterprise wide risk initiatives within the organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written form
- Sound knowledge of products and operations in life and general insurers, of the local regulatory environment and in-depth investment knowledge
