Job summary

A leading financial institution in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager responsible for financial controls, treasury monitoring, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Professional Financial Accreditation or a relevant degree, strong experience in financial reporting in banks, and excellent MS Office proficiency. This role also involves participation in system change implementation. If you are a motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills, this might be the perfect position for you.

Qualifications

  • Experience in handling financial or regulatory reporting in banks.
  • Knowledge of accounting policies / standards.
  • Knowledge of MAS regulations (MAS640, MAS649, MAS758).
  • Experience in Finance change management processes related to system implementation or product accounting and reporting.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Capable of handling extensive data.
  • Motivated self-starter who demonstrates resilience and initiative to improve.
  • Team player with commendable interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation or review of financial controls and reconciliation.
  • Monitor treasury control and perform daily NOP reconciliation.
  • Prepare and review the branch's business performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Prepare and monitor MAS returns or ratios and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Prepare monthly CBUAE regulatory returns.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities

Finance Manager will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation or review of regular activities including:

  • Financial Controls & Reconciliation
  • Treasury Control Monitoring
  • Daily Performance Monitoring
  • Local Regulatory Reporting and Monitoring
  • Group Financial Reporting

Finance Manager will also participate in system change implementation and support new product development.

Job Content
1. Financial Controls & Reconciliation
  • Reconcile data from source or transaction processing systems (Finacle and Calypso) to OGL
  • Review Nostro reconciliation and follow up Finacle / bank statement breaks
2. Treasury Control Monitoring
  • Perform / review daily NOP (Net Open Position) reconciliation
  • Monitor negative / zero margin FX deals and Treasury Sales folder
  • Monitor interest movement, perform accrual sense check and follow up on exceptions
3. Daily Performance Monitoring
  • Prepare / review branch’s business performance and provide variance analysis to business heads
4. Local Regulatory Reporting and Monitoring
  • Prepare / monitor MAS returns or ratios such as qualifying liabilities, minimum cash balance, minimal liquid assets, asset maintenance ratio etc.
  • Update Treasury on regulatory ratio and ensure adherence to MAS regulatory requirements
5. Group Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly CBUAE regulatory returns such as large exposure, real estate report etc
Requirements
  • Professional Financial Accreditation or Diploma / Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Experience in handling financial or regulatory reporting in banks
  • Knowledge of accounting policies / standards
  • Knowledge of MAS regulations (MAS640, MAS649, MAS758)
