A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking a professional to oversee maintenance planning and execution for critical mechanical and electrical systems. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with at least five years of experience in civil and marine facilities. Responsibilities include managing contractors, budgeting, and driving sustainability initiatives within operations.
Planning of maintenance regime and ad hoc maintenance for Jurong Port’s mechanical, electrical equipment and fire protection systems.
Review of various infrastructure components' condition, impact on operations and need for maintenance.
Review of past records for maintenance and propose new approaches/technology to maintenance or repair of infrastructure.
Monitoring and auditing the contractors on the work done based on the Operational Maintenance Manual of all JP’s critical mechanical, electrical and Fire Protection Systems.
Planning and allocate resources to executemaintenance works and monitor progress of work by appointed contractors.
Command and control of FM team and appointed contractor to carry out maintenance activities.
Analyze and provide technical instruction for work for FM team and contractors.
Project execution including putting up Board papers, presentation decks, Purchase Request, justifications, confirm goods receipt in procurement system, write specs and technical requirements, evaluate vendors technical competency for projects above $5 mil in value.
Support the planning, execution and provision for overall electrical grid demands for current and future needs.
Manage budget (planning, control and accruals) for maintenance, repair and upgrade of existing JP’s premises’ mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems.
Strategize procurement approach for FMC(experience with Integrated Facility Management companies), preparing tender specifications and reviewing tender documentation.
Manage the operationalizing of FMC in JP.
Be a champion in leading green practice and promote sustainability in operations and maintenance of facilities, including energy conservation programs and waste management.
Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical) or Facility Maintenance with minimum 5 years of working experience in civil and marine facilities.
Certification for Senior Fire Safety Manager/Fire Safety Manager and LEW Grade 8/9 preferred.
Experience in Greenmark application and sustainability project management will be an added advantage.
Experience in managing projects with at least $10 mil in value.
