Job summary

FWD Group Management Holdings Limited in Singapore is seeking a Manager, eCommerce to lead development and delivery of digital commerce initiatives, ensuring scalable and reliable platforms.

You will manage a team of developers across multiple offices, collaborating with platform owners, stakeholders, QA, and DevOps to roll out data-driven, high-performance eCommerce experiences while maintaining security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on technical experience.
• Experience leading mid-to-large teams (3–7 members) and end-to-end delivery.
• Detailed system design, database design, and architecture experience.
• Hands-on with modern JavaScript frameworks and cloud technologies.
• Security awareness including code scanning and vulnerability resolution.

• Lead the eCommerce development team to deliver new initiatives, change requests, and production support with high quality and in line with business requirements.
• Provide technical leadership in solution design, implementation, and troubleshooting for eCommerce projects.

Purpose

As Manager, eCommerce, you will lead the development and delivery of eCommerce platform initiatives and enhancements, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

The person will manage a team of developers and work closely with platform owners, business stakeholders, QA, and DevOps to deliver projects that drive best-in-class digital sales and marketing capabilities.

Focus will be on hands-on technical leadership, project delivery, and continuous improvement of the eCommerce platform’s performance and reliability.

Separately, the role is required to liaise with group digital marketing team in implementing and fine-tuning of page performance, SEO, GTM, Google Analytics when necessary.

Keep up with latest web technologies, research and constant feedback to new technologies recommendation as to improvement in operation efficient, system performance and applications robustness.

Key Accountabilities

Lead the eCommerce development team to deliver new initiatives, change requests, and production support with high quality and in line with business requirements.

Provide technical leadership in solution design, implementation, and troubleshooting for eCommerce projects.

Ensuring solution are robust across multiple platforms and languages.

Ensure all deliverables adhere to technical design, coding standards, and security requirements.

Hands‑on technical implementation (coding) and concurrently overseeing development team across different offices and geographies to ensure quality deliverables.

Oversee source code management activities (branching, merging, commits) and ensure compliance with established standards.

Collaborate with platform owners, business stakeholders, QA, and DevOps to deliver regional eCommerce solutions that support business growth.

Strong attention to details and great understanding in UX.

Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement in platform performance and operational efficiency.

Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple markets.

Act as a subject matter expert to coach and mentor team members, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.

Support the implementation of new technologies and best practices to enhance the robustness and scalability of the eCommerce platform.

Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, including code scanning and vulnerability resolution prior to go‑live.

Qualifications / Experience

Preferably a bachelor degree in IT related discipline.

Strong technical full‑stack technology knowledge with proven track records ( Minimum 4-6 years of hands on technical experience ).

Experienced in leading medium to large (3-7 members) project team in which involves end to end delivery.

Experienced in detailed system design, database design, and architecture.

Knowledge & technical skills.

Solid hands‑on technical skill with capability to trouble shooting and drill down into detail.

Minimum 4-6 years hands on technical skillsets: Must Have: Modern Javascript framework i.e. ReactJs, NextJS ( SSR and SSG ) Typescript NodeJs framework i.e. NestJs Well‑versed in Cloud technologies (i.e. AWS, Azure) Kubernetes

Good To Have: Headless CMS Storybook design system graphQL mongoDB docker and cloud‑based infrastructure setup Exposure to SEO, analytics, and performance optimization TDD Good knowledge of system design and documentation Strong interpersonal skills to engage and manage various stakeholders Meticulous, committed. Able to work under extreme pressure and tight timeline Solid experience in project delivery ( minimally 3 medium to large scale projects ) Good experience in level 2 and 3 production support Adequate security knowledge in cyber security aspect such as source code and penetration test scanning vulnerability resolution Good experience in agile methodologies - scrum.
