Job Summary
The Manager, Digital Systems and Security oversees the Club’s information technology operations across all Clubhouses and ensures the effective management of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and digital systems. The incumbent will lead the IT team in maintaining stable, secure, and efficient IT services while driving digital transformation initiatives to support the Club’s operational and strategic goals. This role also serves as the Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and safeguarding members’ and staff’s data privacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage a team of IT staff to ensure effective support and service delivery across all Club locations to enable their smooth operations.
- Develop departmental workplans, KPIs, and IT policies in line with the Club’s objectives.
- Oversee resource allocation, staff training, and performance appraisals within the IT Department.
- Manage IT budgets and procurement of hardware, software, and related services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and advisory for IT matters at management and committee levels.
- Provide secretariat services for IT Sub‑Committee.
- Systems & Network Administration
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks and storage systems.
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance across multiple sites.
- Manage backup systems, disaster recovery procedures, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee user access control and security configurations in compliance with IT policies.
- Supervise software licensing, updates, and renewals.
- Maintain robust disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Monitor infrastructure health including firewall, remote routers, UPS, website, booking system, EPP & EDR and proactively address potential issues.
- Cybersecurity & Data Governance
- Act as the Club’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure full compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
- Establish and maintain data protection policies, incident response plans, and risk assessments.
- Conduct regular data security audits, table‑top exercises, penetration tests, and awareness training for staff.
- Manage cybersecurity systems such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection.
- Report any data breaches or security incidents to management promptly with recommendations.
- Digital Transformation & Projects
- Lead, plan and implement new IT projects and digital initiatives to enhance member and staff experiences.
- Work with stakeholders to evaluate, recommend, and implement IT solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Liaise with vendors, consultants, and service providers for project delivery and system support.
- Ensure smooth integration of systems with ERP platform (e.g. membership, finance, HR, procurement, facility management systems etc).
- Support & Vendor Management
- Ensure prompt resolution of IT issues and incidents reported by end‑users.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to staff users.
- Be on standby for major IT incidents or system disruptions, including weekends and public holidays.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure delivery of high‑quality products and services.
- Evaluate vendors’ performance and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of managerial experience overseeing IT operations.
- Proven experience as Data Protection Officer (DPO) with knowledge of PDPA compliance.
- Hands‑on experience with networking, Windows/Linux server environments, cloud systems, cybersecurity, and data backup.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Willing to be on standby for system support during weekends and public holidays.
