As the Manager of Corporate Communications, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to build a sustainable, adaptive, and thriving the insitituteBrand Ecosystem. Your work will ensure that the institute resonates with both internal and external stakeholders, bringing measurable value and impact to patients. You will be responsible for expanding reach, increasing brand awareness, and driving stakeholder engagement, all with the goal of supporting the institute's leadership in cancer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive brand strategy aimed at strengthening the institute's position as a leader in cancer care, research, and education.
- Ensure the brand remains relevant, adaptive, and impactful to patients, caregivers, healthcare partners, and stakeholders across all levels.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including patients, donors, healthcare providers, research institutions, and government agencies.
- Create and execute integrated communication plans that foster continuous, meaningful touchpoints with these audiences, enhancing engagement and loyalty to the brand.
- Develop campaigns to increase the institute's brand visibility and reach, expanding its market share and impact within the healthcare industry and public awareness.
- Lead the development of content and narratives that position the institute as a thought leader in cancer treatment and research, ensuring alignment with the broader NUHS communications strategy.
- Champion internal communications efforts to ensure that staff are aligned with the institutes goals and values.
- Collaborate closely with leadership teams to foster a strong internal culture that mirrors the insitute's external brand promises.
- Work with Group Communications to establish and oversee a crisis communications framework that protects and enhances the institute's reputation during unforeseen challenges.
- Act as a spokesperson during critical moments, managing all external communications related to crises and other sensitive matters.
- Oversee the development of content across various platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.
- Lead digital communication efforts to ensure the institute remains at the forefront of new media trends, using analytics and market insights to refine strategies.
- Lead the planning and execution of high-profile events, including public forums, cancer awareness campaigns, donor events, and conferences.
- Drive public relations efforts to promote programs, partnerships, and research breakthroughs, working closely with media outlets to secure positive coverage.
- Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to execute key initiatives successfully.
- Develop training programs and professional development opportunities for the team to foster continuous learning and excellence.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in healthcare, education, or non‑profit sectors.
- Proven ability to develop and execute large‑scale communication and brand strategies.
- Strong media relations and crisis communication experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for creating compelling narratives and campaigns.
- Strategic thinking with a keen understanding of the healthcare landscape and patient engagement.
