What the role is:

You are responsible for creating and maintaining a repository of research portfolios to facilitate strategic communications planning in support of MINDEF/SAF's strategic objectives, conducting information fusion and analysis, and evaluating research tools and capabilities.

What you will be working on:

• Create and maintain an information database
• Conduct information fusion and analysis
• Evaluate research tools and capabilities
• Assess the effect of strategic communications efforts on the general public's perception of MINDEF/SAF
• Challenge(s)- Grasping and making sense of ongoing developments and conversations in the information environment

What we are looking for:

• Education in Mass Communications, Social Sciences-related fields (Political Science, International Relations) or Science and Technology (Information and Communication Technology, Digital Media, Information Science, etc.)
• Prior experience in the fields of media, marketing research, or info‑comm technology is advantageous
• Active interest in Singapore's political, defence and security developments as well as current affairs
• Acute awareness of the regional and international media environment and how it can be leveraged to the benefit of MINDEF/SAF and its interests
• Strong command of both spoken and written English
• Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu or Indonesian or Mandarin would be advantageous (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
